I have to admit, when I saw the Top 10 Hot Searches list today, and the number one is Sonny Rollins, I was like who da? So I googled him, and am I glad I did. He is very well known, but for those of you who are as clueless as I am, Sonny Rollins is an 81-year-old legendary Grammy Award-winning American jazz tenor saxophonist. My guess why he was the top search of the day today is because he received 34th Annual Kennedy Center Honors, which the ceremony was broadcasted today. President Bill Clinton is a huge fan and presented Sonny Rollins with the honor.

I must say I don’t really get jazz and was a bit reluctant to listen to his work, but couldn’t resist the curiosity. So I youtubed “Brown Skin Girl”, one of Clinton’s favorites. One word, Timeless. Give it a listen! Can you believe this came out of an 81-year-old’s horn?
